About the Creators - 
Nyasha Williams is a passionate social justice griot who grew up living between the United States and South Africa. Her mission is to use words and stories to decolonize literature, minds, and spiritual practices. She is also the author of What’s the Commotion in the Ocean?, I Affirm Me, The Ally Baby Series, and Black Tarot. With Elemental Alchemist, Nyasha continues her work of reclaiming and celebrating traditional spiritual practices once silenced by colonialism.

Kimishka Naidoo, the deck’s illustrator, is a South African woman of South Asian descent who was raised to embrace the duality of her identity and honor many cultures. Having lived across the globe—from France and Austria to South Korea—she approaches her art with openness, curiosity, and a deep love for diversity. Her illustrations amplify BIPOC culture and beauty, making every card in the deck radiate with color, strength, and spiritual resonance.
